"Hot For You" was a club hit for Brainstorm, a Detroit-based funk/disco band that released three albums in the late 1970s. Appearing on their third and final record Funky Entertainment, the song was written by Trineta Womack and lead singer Belita Woods. "Hot For You" rose to #21 on the Disco/Dance Tracks chart in Billboard magazine in 1979, while peaking at #65 on their R&B chart.
