Disco Dessert 2/3/19 - "Emanuelle In America" from Nico Fidenco...

"Emanuelle In America" is the proto-disco-styled them for the softcore erotic movie in the series starring Laura Gemser and directed by Joe D'Amato. The downtempo spacey theme was composed and produced by Italian Nico Fidenco, who was a singer turned movie score artist that did the music for most of the films in those movies you see late at nite on Cinemax in the 80s/90s. Neither the Emanuelle In America soundtrack album or the song charted, but it remains an artifact in the evolution of the disco genre, being released in 1977. As for the movie itself - it's not connected to the French Emmanuele  romantic soft-porn movies - this one is pretty graphic and downright dark by the end. Just enjoy the music.
