"Star Cruiser" was the title track for producer/songwriter Gregg Diamond's first album under his own name (previously he had been recording under the moniker Bionic Boogie). Charting as an entire album, Star Cruiser climbed to #7 on Billboard magazine's Disco/Dance Tracks chart in 1979. The "Star Cruiser" single also went to #57 on the R&B chart, while "bubbling under" the pop Hot 100 at #102. Diamond, from the Philly suburb of Bryn Mawr, also wrote and produced "More, More, More" from the Andrea True Connection. He passed away in 1999.
