Soul Sweep: September 15, 2012...






Thanks for coming back, time now for the third installment of today's "chart sweeps" bringing you the latest singles on Billboard magazine's weekly music charts. This time out it's the newest at R&B radio.


On the radio-monitored R&B/HipHop Songs chart, which combined airplay from mainstream R&B, adult R&B, rap, and rhythmic stations, rappers 2 Chainz and Drake stay on top for a fifth week with "No Lie".

The big debut this week marks the return of Alicia Keys, who has topped the R&B chart eight times, beginning with her debut single "Fallin'" in 2001 to "Unthinkable (I'm Ready)" in 2010. Her new song, "Girl On Fire", which features a rap by Nicki Minaj, enters all the way at #67...

Another power-player on this list, Usher, returns at #74 with the fifth single from his latest album Lookin 4 Myself, "Dive". He has racked up a dozen chart-toppers on this list, dating back from 1997's "You Make Me Wanna" through to this year's album lead-off single, "Climax"...


#1 rapper 2 Chainz sends two more songs on the R&B chart, first at #80 with "I Luv Dem Strippers", an album track featuring Nicki Minaj...(NSFW)


Another album track, "Hold Me Back", becomes the fifth song to make the chart from rapper/mogul Rick Ross' God Forgives, I Don't set at #81...(NSFW)


Miami DJ/producer Infamous is in at #86 with "Itchin'", featuring Atlanta rapper Future, who current sits at #7 on this chart with "Turn On The Light"...(NSFW)


2 Chainz is also back at #94 with "I'm Different", the fourth track from his Based On A T.R.U. Story to make the chart. He's on the R&B/Hip Hop Song chart nine times this week as either a lead or featured artist...(NSFW)


The ninth 2 Chainz appearance is supporting DJ Scream on "Hood Rich Anthem", also featuring rappers Future, Fozzie Bear, Yo Gotti, and Gucci Mane...(NSFW)


Meanwhile, over on the Adult R&B specific radio-monitored list, R. Kelly remained at #1 for a second week with "Livin' Single".

The sole debut on this list this week is by singer Keyshia Cole, with a song currently residing in the top-10 on the main chart, "Enough Of No Love", at #39. It's her first time here, as well as featured artist, rapper Lil Wayne...
