Pop Sweep: October 6, 2012...
Hey gang, it's time for the first part of today's five-part "chart sweeps" of the new songs making their way on to the weekly music charts in Billboard magazine. This time out it's the latest on the pop side of the house.
On the big chart, the Hot 100, Maroon 5 stay on top for a second week with "One More Night".
The big debut this week is by singer and The Voice coach Christina Aguilera, who's riding on the success of her #1 hit from last year with Maroon 5, "Moves Like Jagger". "Your Body" comes in at #34, and while the original version is a disjointed hot mess, the remix cleans things up a bit into a campy club jam...

Pink has the top album this week with The Truth About Love, and while the first single, "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" hangs on to the #5 position, the official followup single, "Try" pops in early at #56...
DJ power trio the Swedish House Mafia score their first Hot 100 hit as "Don't You Worry Child" comes in at #68...
Kanye West's GOOD Music label's compilation Cruel Summer debuts in the runner-up spot on the albums chart behind Pink, and the fifth track from the set, "To The World" featuring R. Kelly, debuts at #70. Two songs, "Mercy" and "Clique", have made the top-20...
Rapper The Game's biggest hit so far has been 2005's "Hate It Or Love It", but since 2006 has only had 1 top-40 hit. He's back at #82 with "Celebration" featuring a posse of Chris Brown, Tyga, Wiz Khalifa, and Lil' Wayne...
Viral star Carly Rae Jepsen's Kiss album debuts at #6 this week, and another album track from the set, "Beautiful" featuring Justin Bieber, enters at #87...
The fourth song from Usher's latest disc Lookin' 4 Myself, "Numb", arrives at #97. The biggest of them, "Scream", made it to #9...
Country singer Kip Moore's first chart single, "Somethin' 'Bout A Truck", was a #1 country single and made the Hot 100 top-40. His followup, "Beer Money", comes in at #99...
...and another country newcomer, Greg Bates, sees his first top-20 country hit come in at #100, "Did It For The Girl"...
Meanwhile, over on the radio-monitored Adult Top-40 pop chart, Pink stays at #1 for a third week with "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)".
There are two new songs on this week's list, and the higher of the two is by swag-pop duo Karmin, who just had their first adult-pop top-10 hit with "Brokenhearted" a few weeks ago. Their latest, the Nirvana-cribbing "Hello" is welcomed in at #37...
The other debut is by indie-rockers Walk The Moon, with their first hit "Anna Sun" at #39. The song has already made the top-10 on the Modern Rock chart...
