Album Sweep: September 8, 2012 - Part Two

Hey folks, thanks for stopping by, I'm going to bring part two of this week's "album sweep", sampling the new records making their way onto the Top 200 Albums chart at Billboard magazine. You can check out part one by clicking here. I've also included links to buy the mp3 albums on Amazon if you wanna go pick anything up (there's some good sales going on)...

Coming in at #101 is Christian pop artist Chris August, with his sophomore album The Upside Of Down...

Country singer JT Hodges sees his self-titled debut album rise to #114. It's given him two charting country singles so far...

Pina Records is the premier reggaeton record labels, and their compilation Pina Records Presents: La Formula: The Company featuring imprint acts Arcangel, Plan B (the Mexican one, not the English rapper), Ken-Y, Zion, and more enter the chart at #115...

Christian metal band Project 86 have charted four albums on Billboard's big chart before, and now get their fifth at #127 with Wait For The Siren...

Gospel musician Anthony Brown & Group TherAPy debut at #130 with their self-titled album...

Indie-rock act Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti get their second hit album with Mature Themes at #137...

The Wrecking is another Christian pop act that debuts on the chart today at #140 with So Much For Love...

Alternative hip-hop duo JJ Doom score their first hit album as a pair with their debut, Key To The Kuffs at #148...

Roots rock legend Ry Cooder returns with his 15th studio album, Election Special at #164 in time for the party conventions, it's a scathing indictment of the Republican Party and the jackboot oligarchs that have taken it over.

New Hampshire metalcore band Our Last Night enter at #179 with their third album, Age Of Ignorance...

British funk rock group The Heavy's third album, The Glorious Dead, is the last debuting album at #191...

....so that brings this week's Album Sweep to a close. I'd recommend the Heavy, Ry Cooder, and Our Last Night the most out of these (though JT Hodges would come in REAL close).
