Dance Sweep: September 15, 2012...

Welcome back, now it's time to close this shop down with the last of today's "chart sweeps" of the newest singles making the weekly music charts in Billboard magazine. This time out it's the latest dance songs on the radio and in the clubs.

On the DJ-polled Hot Dance Club Play chart, Usher gets his first solo #1 hit with "Scream".

The top debut this week is by the Swedish House Mafia, who are comprised of DJs Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello, and Axwell. They have topped the dance club chart twice, with "Miami 2 Ibiza" and "Save The World", and they're back at #39 with "Don't You Worry Child"...

Another Swedish act, Gravitonas, returns with their latest, "Call Your Name". The act was put together by Alexander Bard, who was part of one of my favorite dance acts of the 90s, Army Of Lovers ("Crucified"). His new act has scored two previous hits here, with "Everybody Dance" making the top 20. The new one comes in at #43...

Singer Taryn Manning had her first dance hit last year with "Turn It Up", and she follows it up with "Send Me Your Love" at #46. It features DJs Sultan and Ned Shepard, who made the top-5 last year with "Call My Name"...

Faves of mine the Gossip follow up their top-10 dance hit "Perfect World" at #48 with "Move In The Right Direction"...

Newcomer Frankie, from Los Angeles, gets in at #49 with her jubilant debut single "All Right"...

..and at #50 is Dutch DJ/producer Afrojack has reached the club chart four times before, the biggest being the top-10 hit by NERVO he was featured on, "We're All No One". He's back with "Rock The House"...

Meanwhile, over on the monitored Dance Airplay/Mixshow chart, Calvin Harris finally releases the #1 spot to Ellie Goulding's "Lights".

Coming in at #17 is the multi-format smash from the Bing commercials, Alex Clare's "Too Close"...

Teen queen and X Factor judge Demi Lovato enters at #20 with her pop hit "Give Your Heart A Break"...

and Chris Brown shows up twice on this list, first at #24 with his solo hit, "Don't Wake Me Up"...

and one rung under that is David Guetta's "I Can Only Imagine", featuring Brown and rapper Lil' Wayne...

and over on the polled Global Dance Songs list, Rihanna's "Where Have You Been" stays at #1 for a seventh week.

Ellie Goulding "Lights" finally makes the grade at #34...

Finally, Canadian producer Nick Fiorucci debuts at #36 with "Back To Me" featuring singer Shobha...

That wraps it up for today's singles "Chart Sweeps". Thanks for stopping by, and check in tomorrow for another Song of the Day, candletime, part one of this week's "Album Sweep" sampling the newest records out, and the best of England on Brit Sweep. Cheers!
