Dance Sweep: July 14, 2012...
Hey guys, we're in the homestretch of today's "chart sweeps" of Billboard magazine's music charts. This last segment has the latest remixes making the Dance Club, Mixshow, and Global Dance Songs lists.
On the Dance Club Play chart, the top three new entries are by the biggest pop acts of the moment. In at #41 is the latest by bad boy Chris Brown, with the discofied single "Don't Wake Me Up"...

At #43 is Usher with his top-10 pop hit "Scream"...
while one rung under that at #44 is the current #2 pop hit "Payphone" by Maroon5 featuring Wiz Khalifa...
80's icon Cyndi Lauper is busy these days getting ready a musical co-written with Harvey Fierstein that's due to open later this year, Kinky Boots. It's based on the story of gay legend Divine, and was a cult British film in 2005-6. To promote the show, Cyndi's commisioned remixes of one of the songs, "Sex Is In The Heel", and it's in at #45, and it's FANTASTIC!
Debuting at #49 is Long Island socialite and singer Sir Ivan with his latest, "La La Land"...
and at #50 is DJ John De Sohn, who enlists Swedish singer Andreas Moe, who was the lead in Avicii's "Fade Into Darkness", with "Long Time"...
Meanwhile, on the radio chart for Mixshow and Dance Radio Airplay, there's only one new track this week, and it's the current US #1 club hit "I Don't Like You" by Dutch singer Eva Simons coming in at #23...
and over on the Global Dance Songs list, debuting at #34 is British R&B singer Taio Cruz featuring Pitbull with a song that was a top-5 hit in Germany, "There She Goes"...
R.I.O. are also big in Germany (their homeland), and the group come in at #37 with "Party Shaker"...
Finally, Katy Perry's top-5 pop hit "Wide Awake" sneaks on the Global list at #39...
