Rock Sweep: July 28, 2012...
Hey guys, it's time for part two of this week's "chart sweeps" of the music charts in Billboard magazine. This time out I've got the newest tracks hitting rock radio.
On the Rock Songs chart, the highest debut at #22 belongs to Vegas rockers the Killers, with a song that also comes in all the way at #17 on the Alternative Rock list, "Runaways"...

Coming in at #44 is the Black Keys, with the third single from their El Camino album, "Little Black Submarines"....
One rung below the Keys at #45 is the Smashing Pumpkins, with a song also debuting at #36 on the Alternative Rock chart, "The Celestials"...
...while at #50 is the British singer who now has a top-5 pop hit with "Lights"...
Meanwhile, on the Triple-A rock ("hipster rock") radio chart, Australian viral phenomenon Gotye comes in at #28 with the followup to "Someone That I Used To Know" called "Eyes Wide Open"...
..and at #30 is legendary guitarist Jerry Douglas with his cover of "The Boxer" featuring British rockers Mumford & Sons as well as the song's originator Paul Simon...
