Kraut Sweep: July 24, 2012...


Hey folks, it's time for a sampling of the songs making their entrance on the Official Music Singles Charts in Germany this week. This week Swedish singer Lykke Li spends a second week on top with "I Follow Rivers"...

Like last week, German rapper Cro (pictured above) places multiple songs in the top-100, as his album Raop comes in at #1 on that country's album charts. The highest of his three entries is "Einmal Um Die Welt" ("Around The World") at #35..

...while down at #95 is album track "Ein Teil" ("A part") ...


...and at #98 is "Nie Mehr" ("Never More")


Besides Cro, the other debut in the top-40 is British singer Jay Sean, with the dance track "I'm All Yours" featuring Pitbull at #40...


Pink finally makes the German list after hitting everywhere else at #45 with "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)"...


Eastern German rock band Silbermond have had seven top-10 hits in there country, and are hoping for an eighth with "Fdsmh (Für dich schlägt mein Herz)" ("My Heart Beats For You") at #53...


Another rock band from East Germany, Kraftklub, come in at #55 with "Kein Liebeslied" ("Love Song")....


Hamburg's Deichkind, a comic rock band, enter at #68 with "Der Mond" ("The Moon")...


Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa takes her "Work Hard, Play Hard" to #76...


A Swedish singer/songwriter who now resides in London, Jonas Myrin arrives at #86 with "The Day Of The Battle"...


British boyband The Wanted sneak onto the list at #90 with "Chasing The Sun"...


British R&B singer Taio Cruz follows up his German top-10 "There She Goes" at #93 with "World In Our Hands" ...


and finally, German/Ghanian singer Y'Akoto brings up the rear at #100 with "Without You"...


For real, I'm diggin' on the Y'akoto, Taio Cruz, and Deichkind tracks.....
