French Sweep: July 3, 2012...

Hey folks, it's time to check out the new singles hitting the radio and record stores in France....

This week's big debut comes from Collectif Metisse, who hail from the southwestern city of Bordeaux, and have had 6 top-10 singles in a row between 2009 to 2011. Their latest, another tropical party number with African and Island rhythms, "Z Dance", comes in at #29...

At #45 is DJ Thibaut Berland, who records under the name of Breakbot, with his third charting single, the electro-pop jam "One Out Of Two" featuring Irfane...to me it sounds like an 80s TV sitcom theme song (and I mean that as a compliment)...

Katy Perry continues her world domination plan with a #57 debut for her US top-5 hit "Wide Awake"...

Meanwhile, French singer Shy'm, from the suburbs of Paris, returns with three of her former hits, "Je Sais", "Prendre L'air", and "Tourne", all of which are 'le awesome'...
