twostepcub's music chart for July 13, 2012...
Hey everyone, it's time for the weekly list of my top-100 tunes for the week. This week Carly Rae Jepsen spends a fifth week at the top, while Icelandic band Of Monsters And Men (pictured above) move up in the top-10. Songs by Ellie Goulding, Matchbox Twenty, and Jamiroquai make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red), while former big hits by Madonna and Foster The People drop off. Link-O-Rama is still in effect, so you can click on any of the highlighted artists' names to connect to their official website. Let's have a kiki!

Debuting all the way up in the top-40 is Kylie Minogue, with her latest single, "Timebomb". Kylie just released a greatest hits set, including her top songs on the span of her 25 year career, including "Can't Get You Out Of My Head", "Better The Devil You Know", and "The Locomotion". For this standalone single, Kylie created a "Twitterbomb" of her followers to lead up to the release on iTunes. Now the song is a top-10 dance hit in the States (but still criminally ignored on the radio).
Country singer Hunter Hayes comes on with his second single from his debut self-titled album, after the top-20 "Storm Warning". His latest is even got a bigger buzz and outselling its competition in the top-20, and it's "Wanted"...
British trio Stooshe recently had a top-5 British hit that nicked my chart with "Love Me" earlier this year, and they do it again with a song that I love even more, called "Black Heart"...
Italian DJ Gabry Ponte was once a member of the Eurodance act Eiffel 65, responsible for bringing the world "Blue (Da Ba Dee)". He now strikes out on his own with a dance track featuring two Miami natives, with vocals by Latin singer Sophia Del Carmen, and a rap cameo from Pitbull. It's the "Beat Of My Drum"...
R&B singer Anthony Hamilton had a big hit back in 2004 with the top-20 pop/top-3 R&B hit "Charlene", and last year had one of the biggest singles on my chart with "So In Love" with Jill Scott (who's also on my list this week). He's back with the third single from his latest CD, Back To Love, called "Play For Me"...
Venezuelan Norka debuts on my chart for the first time with her top-20 dance hit "Miracle"....
...and finally rapper and Kardashian prop Kanye West sneaks on my list with a track that he took to #1 on the R&B chart, "Mercy", featuring sidemen Big Sean, Pusha T, and 2 Chainz...
Thanks for dropping by, that's it for now...check in tomorrow for my five-part "chart sweeps" of the newest singles on Billboard's pop, rock, R&B, country, and dance charts. Have a great day!
