Disco Dessert 11/25/20 - "Goldenes Spielzeug" from D.A.F....

 

 

"Goldenes Spielzeug" ("Golden Toy") was a club hit for the German industrial/postpunk group D.A.F. ("Deutsch Americkanische Freundschaft", or "German-American Friendship"). Appearing on their fourth album Gold und Liebe, the song was written by the group's Gabi Delgado and Robert Gori. On Billboard magazine's Disco Top-80 chart, the song was listed with it's "B-side" on the 12" single, "Eel Que" ("The One"). The track peaked at #44 in 1982.
