Disco Dessert 11/1/20 - "Makin' It" by David Naughton...

 

 

"Makin' It" was a club and radio hit for actor and singer David Naughton, most known for his starring role in An American Werewolf In London. Appearing on the soundtrack to the movie Meatballs, the song was produced by Freddie Perren, who wrote it with Dino Fekaris (they also wrote the classic "I Will Survive"). On Billboard's National Disco Action Top-40 chart, the single peaked at #11 in 1979, while climbing to #5 on the pop Hot 100 list. They would even attempt to make a TV sitcom behind the song starring Naughton, but the show only lasted nine episodes (John Travolta's sister Ellen played Naughton's mother in the show).
