Disco Dessert 11/2/20 - Billy Ocean's "Are You Ready"...

 

 

"Are You Ready" was a club hit for Trinidadian singer Billy Ocean. Appearing on his sophomore album City Limit, the song was written by Billy with producer Ken Gold, and definitely "took inspiration" from Michael Jackson's "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough". On Billboard's Disco Top 100 chart, the track was listed with the import single "B-Side" "Stay The Night", which would be released here in the States a year later and chart as well. This one peaked at #83 in 1980.
