"Car Wash" was a big radio and club hit for the R&B band Rose Royce. Appearing on the soundtrack to the movie Car Wash, the song was written and produced by Norman Whitfield. On Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40 chart, the single peaked at #3 in 1976, while reaching #1 on both the pop and R&B charts.
