"Born To Be Alive" was a big club and radio hit for French singer Patrick Hernandez. Appearing on his album Born To Be Alive, the song was written by Patrick and produced by Jean Vanloo. On Billboard magazine's Disco Top-80 chart, the single spent three weeks at #1 in 1979, while also climbing to #16 on the pop Hot 100 here. It was also a huge hit around the world as well.
