Songoftheday 7/8/20 - Every day since our first kiss sit alone and reminisce, what you said last night just took me by surprise...

"Falling" - Montell Jordan
from the album More (1996)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #18 (two weeks)
Weeks in the Top-40: 13

Today's song of the day comes from R&B singer Montell Jordan, whose second album More had already spun off a top-40 pop hit with his contribution to the movie the Nutty Professor, "I Like", in the summer of 1996. The second single from the record was "Falling", a midtempo love song that features a rap cameo from Flesh-N-Bone from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony...

"Falling" became the second top-40 pop hit from More in December of 1996. The single returned Jordan to the R&B top ten for the first time since his debut "This Is How We Do It", peaking at #8. Internationally, the single went to #15 in New Zealand.
