"Turn The Beat Around" was a big club and radio hit for singer Vicki Sue Robinson. Appearing on her debut album Never Gonna Let You Go, the song was produced by Warren Schatz and written by Gerald and Peter Jackson. On Record World magazine's Disco File Top-20 chart, the single spent four weeks at #1 in 1976, while the album, charting a month later with "Common Thief" listed as its key cut, climbed to #8. On the American pop chart, "Turn The Beat Around" peaked at #10. Sadly, Robinson died of cancer in 2000.
