Disco Dessert 7/10/20 - "Fame" from Grace Jones...
"Fame" was a club hit for singer/actress/model/culture icon Grace Jones. The title track from her sophomore album Fame, the song was not a cover of the David Bowie classic but an original from Gil Slavin and Jack Robinson, and produced by disco remixing legend Tom Moulton. On Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40 chart, the Fame album charted as a single entry, with "Do Or Die", "Pride", and "Fame" listed as the key cuts. The record peaked there at #3 in 1978.
