twostepcub's music chart for May 15, 2020...

And here is the chart Spotify-ed..

There are ten songs making their debut on my chart this week (highlighted in blue), and if you click on any of them, you'll connect to that artist's official website for more info. And here they are on video, after the break...

(Click below to see the rest of the post)

The first American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, claims the top debut of the week as she rockets in at #48 with her new single, "I Dare You"...

Skip Marley, the grandson of reggae legend Bob Marley, was last seen when he guested on Katy Perry's single "Chained To The Rhythm", which went to #1 on this chart in 2017. This time he's paired with soul singer H.E.R. at #79 for "Slow Down"...

Nu-metal band Godsmack roll in at #80 with "Unforgettable", the fourth single from their When Legends Rise album. This song, just like the other three, topped Billboard magazine's Mainstream Rock radio chart...

As crossover country singer Sam Hunt's "Kinfolks" hold tight at #66, his next single, "Hard To Forget", arrives at #92. The record sample's Webb Pierce's 1953 single "There Stands The Glass"...

The next new entry is one of two special releases that come to us from the UK. At #93 is a remake of the Foo Fighters song "Times Like These" recorded for the BBC from artists' homes to promote the Stay At Home project to help contain the COVID-19 pandemic. On this tear-tugging rendition is Chris Martin of Coldplay, Dan Smith of Bastille, Dua Lipa, Ellie Goulding, Jess Glynne, Paloma Faith, Rag N' Bone Man, Rita Ora, Sigrid, Zara Larsson, and a lot more, including Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins from the Foo Fighters themselves.

Making his debut at #94 is hip-hop singer/rapper Rod Wave with his viral hit "Heart On Ice"...

At #97 is the other COVID19-related benefit single, with veteran singer Michael Ball joining to aid probably the oldest person to make my chart, 100-year-old Captain Tom Moore, with a cover of the classic showtune "You'll Never Walk Alone". Captain Moore is famous in England for completing laps around his garden in honor of his 99th birthday, and raised over 30 Million pounds (from his goal of a thousand) for the NHS charities which aids the countries' health system...

Norwegian DJ/producer Kygo places two new songs on my chart; first up at #98 is "Like It Is" with singer Zara Larsson and rapper Tyga. He also has "Forever Yours" at #69 and almost had a fourth with "I'll Wait" dropping out last week...

At #99 is Sam Smith, who teams up with Demi Lovato (who is also at #35 with "I Love Me") for "I'm Ready"...

And the final newbie at #100 is the other Kygo track, this time with Zak Abel for "Freedom"...
