"Golden Tears" was an underground club favorite from the studio act Sumeria, the moniker that producer/musician Alec R. Costandinos used for his 1977 album project. It never made the Billboard Disco charts (like his 1978 #1 hit "Romeo And Juliet" under his name or the Love And Kisses' theme to "Thank God Its Friday" and #1 "I Found Love"), but it remains a choice of DJs and clubgoers especially in Europe.
