Friday's here, and it's time to roll out my top 100 "hit" tunes from the previous week. Taylor Swift emerges victorious with her first #1 hit in four years, while Shawn Mendes (pictured above) makes his move into the top ten. Songs from Sam Smith, Billy Porter, and Camelphat/Jake Bugg have some of the biggest jumps on the chart (climbs of 10+ places highlighted in red), while former big hits from Halsey, Avicii/Aloe Blacc, AJR, and Shapeshifters drop off my list. One more time around the sun, I guess...

Alternative rock band Cage The Elephant follow up their former top ten "Ready To Let Go" with the song coming in at #83, "Social Cues". It's the title track to their latest album...


The second offering from country hunk Chris Lane's latest record Laps Around The Sun, "I Don't Know About You", arrives at #87...


Traditionalist hard rock band Greta Van Fleet sail in at #92 with "Lover, Leaver", the third single from their Anthem Of The Peaceful Army album...


British modern rock act Bastille enters at #94 with "Joy", from their latest album Doom Days...


Madonna is back at #96 with her new single from Madame X,  "I Rise"...


After a six-year break Danish indie-pop group Alphabeat slip in at #97 with "Shadows"...


Dance-pop singer Kendra Erika shuffles in at #99 with her latest club hit "A Deeper Love"...


The final new entry of the week at #100 is from Sting, whose new dance rework of his hit "If You Love Somebody Set Them Free" climbs in the pole position...
