"T.S.O.P. (The Sound Of Philadelphia)" was a club and radio hit for the studio act MFSB (Mothers Fathers Sisters Brothers). The in-house background players for the label Philadelphia International at Sigma Studios included this song featuring vocals by the Three Degrees on their album Love Is The Message, where it went to #1 on the pop, R&B, and easy listening charts in early 1974, but that was way to early for the disco chart in Billboard magazine, where the song only made an appearance as part of the compilation Philadelphia Classics which went to #34 in 1978. The song is much better known to us old folk as the theme song to Soul Train.
