Disco Dessert 8/25/19 - "Brick House" from the Commodores...

"Brick House" was a radio and club hit for the soul/funk band the Commodores. Appearing on their self-titled album in 1977, the song was written by the band with lyrics added by Shirley Hanna-King, the wife of group member William King. On Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40, the song only made it to #34, spending a couple weeks on the chart; but on their R&B chart it scaled to #4, while on the pop Hot 100, "Brick House" peaked at #5, probably their most famous record not to feature Richie on lead vocals.
