twostepcub's music chart for August 16, 2019...

Friday's here, and it's time to run down my top 100 "hit" tunes from the previous week. Panic At The Disco stick around at #1 for a fourth week, while Icelandic rockers Of Monsters and Men (pictured above) climb two spots in the top ten. There are eight songs making their debut on my chart this week (highlighted in blue), and if you click on any of them you'll connect to that artist's official website. And here they are on video, after the break...

(Click below to see the rest of the post)

The top debut of the week goes to singer/actor/phenomenon Billy Porter, as the star of the hit TV show Pose leaps in at #76 with "Love Yourself"...

As Sam Smith's former #1 hit "Dancing With A Stranger" with Fifth Harmony's Normani hangs on in the top-40, Smith's new single "How Do You Sleep?" arrives at #78. Both will appear on his yet-to-be-released third album...

Dutch DJ/producer Martin Garrix enlists rapper Macklemore and Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump at #83 for some "Summer Days"...

Meanwhile, Norwegian DJ/producer Kygo hits the archives, pulling out a track Whitney Houston recorded for the Japanese version of her I'll Be Your Baby Tonight album from 1990. Her cover of Steve Winwood's "Higher Love" was then given a new production an released here in the states giving the late singer a posthumous top ten club hit...

The Jonas Brothers now have three concurrent songs in my top-100, as "Sucker" (#13) and "Cool" (#75) are joined by "Only Human" at #91. All three are from their "comeback" album Happiness Begins...

Nu-metal rockers Disturbed roll in at #97 with "No More", the third single from their Evolution...

Likewise, the third offering from country singer Dierks Bentley's The Mountain album, "Living", rides in at #98...

The final newbie at #100 is from Pink who follows up her top ten hit "Walk Me Home", which falls to #26, with "Can We Pretend", which featured the dance production team Cash Cash...
