Disco Dessert 8/17/19 - "Walk Away From Love" from David Ruffin...

"Walk Away From Love" was a big radio hit for former Temptations singer David Ruffin. Appearing on his album Who I Am, the breezy mid-tempo pre-disco shuffle-style number was written by Charles Kipps (a heralded screenwriter) and produced by Van McCoy, most famously known for his own record "The Hustle". The song missed the "disco" chart in Billboard magazine, but topped the R&B chart for a single week in 1976, while reaching the top ten on both the American (#9) and the UK (#10).
