Well, it's time to close out today's "chart sweeps" of the new music on Billboard magazine's chart with the latest dance jams on the radio and in the clubs...
On the DJ-polled Hot Dance Club Play list, Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull rack up yet another #1 hit with "Live It Up"...
The top entry of the week up at #37 is my "queen", Kylie Minogue, with her new single, "Skirt". Now to be honest, people may be surprised that this isn't my "pick" for this week, but first, I'm really not sold on this, mostly because of the not-so-classy lyrics that I feel are pushing it for her style. What does win my "Dance Pick of the Week" this time out is the new one from the Pet Shop Boys. At #43, "Vocal" is from their upcoming album Elysium, and I'm so psyched to be seeing them in concert in September, they're in classic form...
British singer Jay Sean is back at #46 with "Where You Are". It's the second consecutive dance single released that isn't available to buy in the US yet, so I have no idea what their marketing plan is.Geez.
Brooklyn duo Timeflies debut at #47 with "I Choose U", their first chart hit...
The final entry at #50 is New Zealand native Ginny Blackmore with "Bones", a song that made the Adult Top-40 radio chart earlier this year...
Meanwhile, on the radio-monitored Hot Dance Airplay/Mixshow chart, Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" reigns for an eight week...
The single debut is the reigning rock leader, Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive", at #24..
