Country Sweep: July 13, 2013...

We're down to the fourth installment of today's five-part "chart sweeps" sampling the new songs making the radio charts at Billboard magazine, and now it's time for the latest on country radio...

On the Hot Country Airplay chart, Luke Bryan grabs his seventh #1 hit with "Crash My Party"...

The top entry at #57 is Tim McGraw's fourth single from his first album with new label Big Machine, "Southern Girl"....

Young country wunderkind Hunter Hayes sneaks in at #58 with a track from the expanded version of his debut album, "Everybody's Got Somebody But Me", featuring pop singer/songwriter Jason Mraz. It's my "Country Pick of The Week" (yes, unconventional as it is)...

The final debut at #59 is rebel girl Gretchen Wilson with "Crazy". Unfortunately there's no video or audio clip, so boo!

That's it for this short country excursion...I'll close things out in an hour and a half with the newest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio. Twang on!

I actually like Chris Cagle's "Southern Girl" on his new album more than this (not the same song though): www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGRvT4fG-5g

ANYthing on Cagle's set is miles above McGraw's sad BM product this time out.
