twostepcub's music chart for September 2, 2022...

Friday is here, and it's time to run down my top 100 "hit" tunes from the previous week. Lizzo finally relents her #1 position to Beyonce, while country bear Luke Combs (pictured above) leaps into the top ten. Songs from Jackson Dean, Death Cab For Cutie, and Steve Lacy make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red), while former big hits from Tim McGraw, Glass Animals, Jack Johnson, and Kx5 drop off my chart. And under the list everything is Spotify-playlisted for 5 1/2 hours of the biggest in pop, rock, R&B, country, & dance music. Happy Labor Day, all!

And here they are on video, after the break...

The top debut of the week at #80 is claimed by Italian DJ/remixer Benny Benassi, who pairs with dance music singer Anabel Englund for the track "Lightwaves"...

Brandon Flowers and the Killers are back at #81 with their new single "A Little Respect" "Boy"...

Coming off of my song of the summer, "About Damn Time", which finally drops to #3, Lizzo arrives at #87 with her follow-up single "2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)"...

British pop icon Robbie Williams returns as he's about to release XXV, where he remakes his previous hits with an orchestra. Included is a new song, "Lost", which comes in at #90 here...

Alt-rock band O.A.R. (Of A Revolution) storms in at #91 with "In The Clouds", from their tenth album The Arcade...

Youtuber turned singer/rapper KSI drops in at #94 with "Not Over Yet", featuring singer/songwriter Tom Grennan, who is already on my list at #76 with "All These Nights"...

As Florida Georgia Line perform their final show before their "hiatus", one half of the duo, Tyler Hubbard, rises to #96 with his solo single "5 Foot 9"...

British newcomer Eliza Rose and producer Interplanetary Criminal have the most viral song in the UK right now with "B.O.T.A. (Baddest Of Them All)", which pops on to my list at #97. The track samples the deep house remix of Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam's single "Let The Beat Hit 'Em" from 1991...

Meanwhile, producer Benny Blanco joins forces with K-pop giants BTS and rap icon Snoop Dogg at #99 for "Bad Decisions"...

The final newbie is from DJ Khaled, whose album God Did came out last Friday. His collab with Drake and Lil' Baby, "Staying Alive" (yes, interpolating the Bee Gees disco song), slips in at #100..
