"Imagination" was a club hit for Denise Languirand, who records under the alias "Lady D". Released as a stand-alone single, the song was written by her husband Pascal of the group Trans-X, who co-produced the track with Ali Lexa. On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single peaked at #25 in 1988.
