"Gettin' The Spirit" was a club hit for singer Roberta Kelly. Appearing on her album Gettin' The Spirit, which combined disco music and gospel, the song was written by Bob Esty, who produced it with Giorgio Moroder. On Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40, the Gettin' The Spirit album was listed as a single entry with "all cuts" picked out for DJ choices. The record peaked there at #9 in 1978.
