"I Just Gotta Have You (Lover Turn Me On)" was a club hit for singer/songwriter/producer Kashif. Appearing on debut album Kashif, the song was written by the artist, who co-produced the track with Morrie Brown. On Billboard magazine's Dance/Disco Top-80 chart, the single peaked at #28 in 1983, while making it to #5 on their R&B Singles list.
