"Tell Me Something" was a club and radio hit for the Australian group Indecent Obsession. Appearing on their debut album Indecent Obsession, the song was written by their lead singer David Dixon and keyboardist Michael Szumowski, with the latter producing the track with Ross Inglis. On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single peaked at #39 in 1990, while reaching #31 on the pop Hot 100 in America and #17 in their home country.
