"Black Cars" was a club and radio hit for Canadian singer/songwriter Gino Vannelli. Appearing on his album Black Cars, the song was written by Vannelli with Roy Freeland, and produced by Gino with brothers Joe and Ross. On Billboard magazine's Dance/Disco Club Play chart, the single peaked at #15 in 1985. It also climbed to #4 in his native Canada and just missed the American pop Top-40 at #42.
