Disco Dessert 11/5/21 - "Dynamite!" by Stacy Lattisaw...

 

 

"Dynamite!" was a big club and urban radio hit for singer Stacy Lattisaw. Appearing on her second album Let Me Be Your Angel, the song was written by Bunny Hull with producer Narada Michael Walden. On BIllboard magazine's Disco Top-100 chart, the album was listed as a single entry, with "Dynamite!" and "Jump To The Beat" listed as key DJ cuts. The record spend a week at #1 there in 1980, when Stacy was just 13 years old, at the time the youngest person to do so. The song also climbed to #8 on Billboard's R&B Singles chart.
