"Friends Forever"  was a club hit for the Canadian group Candi and the Backbeat. Appearing on their second album World Keep On Turning, the song was written by lead singer Candy Pennella with David Shaw and Reed Vertelnay, and produced by Robert Brown and Stephen Croes. On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single peaked at #38 in 1991. It also was a top-40 pop hit in Canada at #36.
