"Hold Tight" was a big club hit for the late singer Vicki Sue Robinson, best known for her disco classic "Turn The Beat Around". Appearing on her album Half and Half, the record was an uptempo remake of a song from the soft-rock band Bread written by David Gates, while this one was produced by Warren Schatz. On Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40 chart, the single spent a week at #2 in 1977, while peaking at #67 on the pop Hot 100 chart and #91 on the R&B list.
