Disco Dessert 2/9/20 - "In The Name Of Love" from Sharon Redd...

"In The Name Of Love" was a big club hit for singer Sharon Redd, who used to be a member of Bette Midler's backup singing group the Harlettes. Appearing on her album Redd Hott, the song was written by Redd with Ricky Williams. On Billboard magazine's Dance/Disco Top-80 chart, the entire album was listed as a single entry, which topped the list in 1982. Sadly, ten years later, Redd passed away from illness brought on by the AIDS virus.
