"Counting On Love (One, Two, Three)" was a club hit for the Italo-disco group the Peter Jacques Band. Appearing on their second album Welcome Back, while the band was named for the French businessman who bankrolled them, the song was actually written and produced by Italian musician Mauro Malavasi, a pioneer the the piano-laden Italo-disco movement that predated house music. On Billboard magazine's Disco Top 100 chart, the entire Welcome Back record was listed as one entry with no one cut featured, and rose to #57 on the list in 1980.
