"Hold Your Horses" was a big club hit for the female vocal soul trio First Choice. Appearing on their fifth album Hold Your Horses, the song was written by the team on Kathleen Poppy, Les Hurdle, Frank Ricotti, and Peter Gosling, with Hurdle playing bass on the track. On Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40, it became their biggest hit, rising to #5 in 1979 and spending eight months on the chart.
