"7-6-5-4-3-2-1 (Blow Your Whistle)" was a pop and soul hit for the funk-disco band Gary Toms Empire. Led by keyboardist Toms and formed in New York City, the group included this song in their debut album of the same name in 1975. Although the song failed to reach the "disco" charts in Billboard magazine, the song went all the way to #5 on their R&B chart, while almost making the pop top-40 at #46.
