Disco Dessert 10/4/19 - "Best Of My Love" from the Emotions...

"Best Of My Love" was a pop and dance hit for the soul vocal trio the Emotions. Appearing on their album Rejoice, the song was written by Maurice White and Al McKay of the group Earth Wind & Fire. The Hutchinson sisters (Wanda, Sheila, and Jeanette) spent five weeks at #1 on the American pop chart and also topped Billboard magazine's R&B list, but surprisingly on the National Disco Action Top-40 chart the single stopped short of the top ten at #11.
