Disco Dessert 10/6/19 - "Girl You Need A Change Of Mind" from Eddie Kendricks...

"Girl You Need A Change Of Mind" was a proto-disco track recorded by former Temptation Eddie Kendicks. Appearing on his album People...Hold On, the song was written by Anita Poree and Leonard Caston Jr. As it was released in 1972, it was way to early to appear on any "dance" chart, but the song, popular in the gay clubs at the time, climbed to #13 on Billboard magazine's R&B chart (the highest of the album's three singles), while stalling down at #87 on the pop Hot 100.
