"Let The Music Play" was a massive club hit for freestyle dance music singer Shannon. Appearing on her debut album Let The Music Play, the song was written by producer Chris Barbosa along with Ed Chisolm. The track spent six weeks at #1 on the Disco/Dance Tracks chart in Billboard magazine in 1983, and was a sound that eventually dominated New York radio for most of the 1980s.
