twostepcub's music chart for June 10, 2016...

Friday's here, and it's time to run down my top 100 tunes from the previous week. I have a new #1 song with Joe Jonas' DNCE project, while the Strumbellas (pictured above) take their first hit to the top-3. Former big hits from James Bay, Elle King, and Troye Sivan drop off my chart, while songs from blink-182, OneRepublic, and Justin Timberlake make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red). There are nine songs making their debut on the chart this week (highlighted in blue), and if you click on any of them, you'll connect to their official website. And here they are on video, after the break...

The top debut of the week brings together three of the brightest new stars of neo-disco with an icon of the genre, as Alex Newell (originally from the show Glee), British singer Jess Glynne, and DJ Cassidy team up with Chic's Nile Rodgers for "Kill The Lights" from the HBO series Vinyl at #74.

As their previous single "Confession" drops off my chart this week, country crossover duo Florida Georgia Line preview their upcoming third album Dig Your Roots with the song at #79, "H.O.L.Y."...

Icelandic indie-rock band Kaleo also has had a song on the Vinyl show ("No Good"), but it's their current alternative radio hit "Way Down We Go" that makes my list now at #83...

Chinese-American remixer/producer ZHU had a top-40 hit on my chart at the beginning of the year with "Automatic". He returns with dubstep king Skrillex and trap-soul duo THEY. at #94 with "Working For It"...

Australian singer Veronica Bravo, who appeared on that country's X Factor, hires on master remixer Dave Aude' at #96 with her club remake of the Natasha Bedingfield pop hit "Unwritten". (Sadly, there's no YouTube clip - they took it down, BOO!)

French-Israeli singer Amir, who came in third in his country's version of The Voice, then became France's highest-ever placing in the Eurovision song contest in sixth place (he deserved better), lands on my chart at #97 with his contest entry, "J'ai Cherche'" ("I've Been Looking")...

Remixing duo Dirtyfreqs recruit Australian dance music singer Vassy for their club hit "T.U.T.P. (Turn Up The Party)", which shimmies in at #98...

British indie-pop singer/songwriter Tom Odell returns at #99 with "Magnetised"...

The final newbie of the week in from X Factor UK winners Little Mix, who are in at #100 with "Hair" featuring reggaeton artist Sean Paul...
