Rock Sweep: June 25, 2016...

Round two of this week's 'music sweeps' is up, checking out the songs making the debut on the charts in Billboard magazine, and this time out I've got the latest hits on rock radio...

On their main Rock Airplay chart, the Red Hot Chili Peppers remain at #1 for a fifth week with "Dark Necessities"...

The Holy White Hounds bark in at #47 with "Switchblade". The song is up at #21 on the Mainstream Rock format, and spent a few weeks on the alternative chart as well. Grade: B-

On the harder-edged Mainstream Rock radio panel, Danish metalheads Volbeat are on top for a sixth week with "The Devil's Bleeding Crown"...

Los Angeles-based hard rock band Stitched Up Heart beat in at #30 with "Monster". It's the follow-up to their debut hit "Finally Free", which climbed to #23. Grade: C

Newcomers One Less Reason from Memphis drop in at #33 with "Where Were You?". Grade: B-

Christian hard-rock vets Skillet are back at #34 with "Feel Invincible". They went all the way to #2 back in 2010 on this chart with "Awake and Alive". Grade: C+

3 Doors Down returned to the charts earlier this year with "In The Dark", which peaked at #2 on this list. They're in now at #38 with "Still Alive". Grade: C

Meanwhile, on the Alternative/Modern Rock chart, the Lumineers light up the top for a third week with "Ophelia"...

Indie-folkers the Head and the Heart sail in at #29 with "All We Ever Knew". Grade: B-

Lastly, on the Triple-A (adult album alternative, or "hipster rock") format, "Dark Necessities" takes a second week at #1, while the aforementioned "All We Ever Knew" leaps on to the list at #9...

Beck take his new one, "Wow", to the chart at #13. Grade: C+

British indie-rock group Catfish and the Bottleman are in at #26 with their top-20 alternative hit "Soundcheck". Grade: B-
