Dance Sweep: June 11, 2016...






I've come to the end of this week's "music sweeps", checking out the songs making their way on to the charts in Billboard magazine, and I'll close things out with the latest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio.

On the DJ-polled Dance Club Play chart, Dillon Francis and Kygo climb to #1 with "Coming Over" featuring James Hersey, the first club chart-topper for all three...

Pop singer/songwriter Alessia Cara jumps in at #42 with the remixes of her song "Wild Things". Grade: C+

Neo-house act Dasco pairs up with Crystal Monee at #47 with "Strike Me Down". Grade: B




 Meanwhile, on the radio-monitored Dance Airplay/Mixshow chart, The Chainsmokers are on top for a sixth week with "Don't Let Me Down"...

British electro-house act Galantis take my "Dance Pick of the Week" at #35 with their single "No Money", which is already a top-5 pop hit in the UK. Grade: A-


Dutch progressive house star Hardwell lands at #36 with "Run Wild" featuring Jake Reese, who won the Netherlands version of the X Factor in 2010. Grade: B


Elephante and dance music singer BISHØP take the last new entry at #40 with "Closer". Grade: B-
