Today's song of the day comes from the Australian pearl Kylie Minogue, who had broken through in the U.S. with her infectious "I Should Be So Lucky", then followed it with a top-3 cover of the Little Eva tune "Locomotion". While overseas, she had a top-ten hit with her third Kylie single, "Je Ne Sais Pourqoui", and massive success on her duet with Jason Donovan, "Especially For You", in the U.S. and Canada her North American record company went with the mid-tempo SAW production "It's No Secret".

"It's No Secret" became the third top-40 pop hit for Kylie in the States in February of 1989. It also did well in Canada, climbing to #22, but missed the top-40 in New Zealand (neighbours of her Australian homeland) at #47.
