twostepcub's music chart for December 21, 2012...
Hey gang, I'm back with my top-100 tunes for the week. This week Ne-Yo claims the top spot for the first week, while Canadian rockers Three Days Grace (pictured above) hover under the top-10. A former big hit by Owl City & Carly Jepsen drops off my chart, while songs by Ellie Goulding, Olly Murs, and Atlas Genius make the biggest leaps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red). If you're reading this, we must be okay!

The top song spending its first week on the chart is a song I've been jamming enough to make it my phone ringtone - Seattle-area rapper Macklemore, his musical collaborator Ryan Lewis, and featured singer Wanz on the extra-funky trip to the "Thrift Shop" and this is fucking awesome!
Maroon 5 are back with the third single from their Overexposed album, and let me say that the video makes the song ten times better...
Former Gap Band lead singer turned quiet storm king Charlie Wilson returns with "My Love Is All I Have" from his upcoming album Love Charlie, and I'm happy a man who will be 60 next month is still churning out hits...
Vermont alt-rockers Grace Potter & The Nocturnals arrive with a song that my fave from The Voice this year, Amanda Brown, did an awesome job of, "Stars"...
Of Monsters and Men, from the town of Gardur on the southwestern tip of Iceland, have one of the biggest songs on my chart this year with "Little Talks", and also come in with its followup, "Mountain Sound"...
Canadian singer Nelly Furtado's career may has cooled a little since her big collaborations with Timbaland, but the second single to reach my top-100 from her latest album debuts, called "Parking Lot"...
I have compared French singer M. Pokora to being that country's version of Ricky Martin, and he gets his first hit on my list with "Envole-Toi" ("Fly Away"), featuring singer Tal (who has shown up here with "Le Sens De La Vie" earlier this year) from the outstanding tribute album to the songwriter Jean-Jacques Goldman Generation Goldman that is available from Amazon in the States...
Finally, Justin Bieber may not be up for a Grammy, but he's here with Nicki Minaj with "Beauty & A Beat"...
That's it for now...I'll be back tomorrow with another Song of the Day, Candletime, and my five-part "chart sweeps" of the latest songs making the Billboard magazine weekly music charts. See you then!
